The UCS booking portal offers a field for “recipient email” entry. Previously this field generated a tracking and information email to the consignee once the consignment had been collected from the shipper premises.
This has been improved and now the recipient will also receive an email to confirm their consignment has been delivered with full proof of delivery details.
The improvement was in response to a request from a shipper who sends multiple parcels which can be left safe. It is useful for the recipient to be advised as soon the the consignment has been “left safe” or “delivered”. We also recognised the benefit of the additional alert to all shippers and hope everyone benefits from this change.
