The incident happened on the clockwise section of the orbital motorway, between Potters Bar and Enfield, at about 3am this morning. Traffic police closed a nine-mile stretch of the clockwise carriageway of the M25 between junctions 23 and 25 in Hertfordshire. They have advised the section was likely to be closed until at least mid-morning while investigations into the cause of the accident continued. At present 2 young girls and a man in his 20’s have died and the driver is currently being treated in hospital.
The situation being monitored however this could cause service delays due to the material arriving at the delivery depots later than expected.
