A “blizzard warning” is in effect from midnight Monday 13th for the NE coast of the USA. In Manhattan they anticipate at least 18 inches, possibly up to 2 feet of snow to fall in 24 hrs. Hazardous driving conditions are anticipated due to snow covered roads which will cause delays on some shipments.
BA & Virgin have already cancelled all flights to JFK on Tuesday 14th.
Due to winter storm Stella, more than 5,300 flights have already been cancelled, with airports in New York, Boston, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington worst hit.
The US states of New York and New Jersey have declared states of emergency.
In Connecticut, a statewide travel ban has been announced.
