Tianjin Explosions

Two major explosions in China’s northern port city of Tianjin devastated the port yesterday. At present, 44 people have lost their lives and 520+ are injured / currently hospitalized. The blasts were at a warehouse storing toxic chemicals, destroyed tower blocks and burned out thousands of cars. The fireball could be seen from space.

In light of this tragic event, Tianjin Customs and port area are now closed. At this time there is no exact indication of when shipping will resume but we estimate import and export cargoes will be delayed by one or two weeks.

Hazardous goods will not be permitted at Xingang / Tianjin port and for those with shipments on their way to the area we advise you contact us directly for an update, as your goods may be delivered to another Chinese port which could cause delays.
