We are sure you will be aware of the serious explosion in the port city of Tianjin, China last week, which unfortunately caused much devastation.
The blast is thought to have originated in a warehouse storing ‘dangerous and chemical goods’, although the exact cause of the explosion is still being investigated.
Operations at Tianjin port appear to now be relatively back to normal, with sailing schedules in the main unaffected.
There may be some delay in the customs clearance of shipments as the Tianjin Customs office was damaged and closed for a short while. In addition, some roads and bridges near the scene remain closed, which is having an effect on traffic as investigative work continues.
